Food Distribution in Un- Reachable Union Council of Charsada

Saiban Development Organization in calibration with Alpalah Welfare Organization distributed cook food in union council Prthangh Maira district Charsadda Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Charsada is 17 miles from Peshawar located in the west of the NWFP and is bounded by Malakand District on the north. This district has one of the most fertile lands in NWFP. The total area of the district is about 996 square kilometers (243753 acres). Total cultivated area is 210255 acres (61 %), irrigated area is 180339 acres, i.e. 86% of the total cultivated area. There are three rivers flowing in Charsadda: the River Jindi, the Kabul River, and the Swat River; these are the main source of irrigation for Charsadda .The three rivers then merge  and  join  the  Indus  River.  The area surrounded by River Swat  and  River  Kabul  is  called  Doaaba  and  has  a  great  importance  in  the  District  .The  district  is administratively  subdivided  into  two  Tehsils  which  contained  a  total  of  49  Union Council.
The population of Charsada according to 2000 year is 1.7 million. Charsada having the density 1081 per son /Sq.Km.
Saiban Development Organization & Alpalah Welfare Organization cooked five Dagees (local Food Cooking Utensil) in district mardan for flood affected households. After cooking rice they make three hundred lunch box from rice with three hundred pure drinking water bottles. Both of the organization put lunch boxes with pure drinking water bottles in vehicle and at on Friday reached to most affected and un-accessible union council Prtlang Maira.
When we reach to union council main entrance area their were many other NGOs setting on main road side for cook food distribution and provision of other facilities on need base.

Due to road destruction they not access in side the union council. Our five members team comprised of Mr. Arif Khan President SDO, Mr. Gulzar Khan Program Officer SDO, Mr. , Mr.  and Mr.   access Majogi Village, Factory colony and village Drab Mira. Where there were no availability of food and drinking water for them. Due to flood all their food was washed and drinking water facility was mix-up with flood water which is not for drinking. Due to mix-up of water with the households were not drink water even in a whole day.
